A little bit out of order, but getting back on track. I love these photos taken by @rosinapossingham showing how I make the square beads using a brass press. Still one of my favourite shapes!

Recycled glass beads made from beer and wine bottles. Quite a statement bracelet and the colours are luscious.
Playing catch-up on my recycled glass jewellery project. I have had some additional responsibilities this week and yep, it has had an impact. Slowly getting back on track with everything! Today I am loving the colours in this necklace. Beads are made from assorted glass objects and wine bottles.
Sweet little earrings with a speckle of interesting colour. Beads made from a clear wine bottle.
Inspired by Monday. I spent some time going over older pieces on the weekend, searching for inspiration for this week. I found several pendants that I made last year and thought to myself, “well I do need a necklace to go with a new top I bought” and this style is perfect for a v-neck top. I have to admit, I am not convinced that this one is the winner, but it was definitely a stretch! May need some more refining before I wear it.
A simple clear wine bottle was used to make this pretty flower necklace. Different finishes on the glass makes it more interesting too. Earrings could be worn with absolutely anything, they will reflect the colours you are wearing.
I like to use frit for some of the beads I make, like the bracelet I made a couple of days ago. Frit is smashed up glass that usually comes in particular colour blends. I put the frit in a little metal container, then make the bead, roll it in the frit, and then heat the bead so that all the frit is melted in to the bead. This is how I can get some different colours into the recycled glass beads that I make.
Massive thanks to the person who gave me this bottle of gin. I hadn’t used it before now because I thought it wouldn’t really work…so I was pleasantly surprised when I took these beads out of the kiln. Held up to the light these flower earrings are an amazing shade of purple!
Recycled glass bracelet day and I was thrilled to try out some new “frit” in order to make this super sweet bracelet. Love all the colours in these beads, made from a wine bottle.
I definitely wasn’t expecting to make this pendant necklace this morning! I went to my studio with the only thought that today I was going to make a necklace. And as I started thinking about colours and themes and styles…these little beads started to appear in the collection of beads I was drawn to. A few little design changes here and there and this is where my morning ended, with a super cute recycled glass bead pendant necklace!
