Niobium earrings

recycled glass earrings

Someone asked me recently if I could make earrings from niobium. I did a little search of the jewellery suppliers where I get some of my findings and managed to find several different colours. This is the first pair that I have made. I like the contrast in the ear-wires, and the way it works with the beads that were made from a Hendricks Gin bottle. Really adds to the design.

Gin and Tonic bracelet

recycled glass bracelet

I made this bracelet yesterday as part of my year long recycled glass jewellery challenge, but by the time I finished it, it was too dark to photograph it! So here is yesterday’s bracelet, and I’ll be back a bit later with today’s piece.

This bracelet was made with beads from a Hendricks Gin and Fever-Tree tonic bottle! Love all the reflections in this piece.

May Colour Play #1

yellow and orange glass bead necklace

It’s time for a new colour play series of necklaces!

This month’s colour play started with a love for the season Autumn. Probably my favourite season of the year. Warm days, cool nights, it doesn’t get much better than that!

I wanted to make jewellery with autumn tones, and necklaces that worked well with jumpers and higher necklines. I am still wearing longer necklaces myself, so it was an easy decision to thread these onto silk cord…adding to the colours.

The necklaces have a lovely mix of glass beads, with a mix of colours, and a mix of finishes. They are surprisingly light to wear, but add lots of colour to anything you are wearing.

The first two necklaces are yellow/orange inspired necklaces.

Enjoy! And if you see anything you like, simply head on over to the shop.
