These are some of my favourite necklaces in the exhibition.  I love the length of them, they sit beautifully with a lot of the clothes I am wearing at the moment.  A bit longer than usual, and that’s just perfect.  There are so many great beads in these necklaces, but I tried to stay true to the colour of the bottle, without too much decoration.

I delivered all of the jewellery to Gallery M yesterday, and I can’t wait to go back on Friday 20th February to see it all set up.  That is the night of the exhibition opening.  Hope to see you there!

Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc Beer Bottle Beads

KronenbergBeads

Nick was kind enough to try a new type of beer last year, it was Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc beer, and the bottles were this gorgeous shade of cobalt blue!  He has been wondering for ages what the glass would look like made into beads, and now we can see the result….beautiful!  I love this colour, and have embellished some of the beads with a little bit of silver so make them sparkle even more.  Again, can’t wait to make the jewellery!

Banrock Station Wine Bottle

BanrockWine

If you have seen my recycled glass beads before, you’ll know I am a big fan of the Banrock Station wine bottles.  Firstly, I love the environmental ethos of the company. Secondly, I love that the wine is so affordable, and so drinkable!  And thirdly, I love that the glass bottles make some of the prettiest beads!

I can’t wait to start making the jewellery with these beads.  Super pretty and sparkly!

Peroni Beer Bottle – Recycled Glass Bead Jewellery

The beads in this jewellery were made from a Peroni Beer Bottle. Fantastic green! Eco-friendly!So, it started as a bit of an ironic idea….making beads from an Italian beer bottle!  But often the ideas that seem a bit silly to start with can end up being the best ones.  Have you ever noticed that?

I love the colour of this glass, the green is so bright and crisp (er, a bit like the beer really).

The Peroni range has been the most popular of my recycled glass pieces on Etsy, and in the shops that stock my recycled range, this past month.
