On my walk this morning…

I tried a new walk last week, and I’m loving it.  It’s just the right length, takes just the right amount of time, and I get a great view in the middle.  Happy.

On Saturday I was part of one of the most amazing markets I have ever done.  The Etsy Made Local market in Unley was amazing.  A massive congratulations to the organisers for doing such a great job.

This weekend I am at the Flinders Street Market’s Christmas Bazaar!  I will be there both days from 10am until 6pm.  This will be my last market for the year.  I hope to see you there.  And please let me know if you need anything, I can make it this week and take it to the market with me.

Doing it all…

When I lived in Mount Gambier, life was different.  I got involved with some of the local markets there, but when it came to  market opportunities further away, well, I had to say no.

This year, now that we are living a lot closer to Adelaide, I have said yes to lots more opportunities to do markets.  Sometimes it might seem a bit crazy, to do so many markets, but I have always loved doing markets, so I guess I am a little bit crazy!

On Saturday November 28 I will be doing 2 markets.  Actually, I will be doing one of the markets, and my mum and daughter will be doing the other market.

I will be at Etsy Local in Unley.  Details can be found here.

Mum/Ciara will be at the Flinders Street Market.  Details can be found here.

Hope to see you there!

On my walk this morning…

I had a lovely time at the Murray Bridge Handmade Market on Saturday.  The weather was perfect (after a very stormy week), and there were loads of people out and about (both locals and tourists).  Thanks to everyone who stopped by my stall.  It was great to meet lots of new people.

As you might have guessed, my newsletter is late this month!  I will have it out on Thursday, and it might be the last newsletter of the year, so I will have to make it a GOOD one!  Stay tuned.  If you have not already subscribed, it’s simple…just click on the subscribe link and enter your email address.  I will be picking one person at random to win a pair of earrings (and the best part is the winner gets to choose the earrings)!

My next markets are as follows:

I’ve included links to the markets so you can find out more about them.

Have a great week.

On my walk this morning…

I was way too tired to get up for a walk this morning, so I let myself sleep in instead.  The weekend was fairly exhausting to be honest, not just physically but emotionally too!  On Friday I sat my first exam for about 20 years.  I think it went well, but I won’t know for a little while.  A couple of hours after I finished the exam I received confirmation that my house settlement had actually taken place!  Trust me, after 4 contracts on that house, I was emotionally wrecked, and just glad to hear it had all really happened.  Friday night was a double celebration!  Then Saturday I had to drive to Adelaide to work in T’Arts.  That was a really nice day, but a really long one.  Then it was back to Adelaide and back to T’Arts on Sunday for a working bee that took several more hours than anyone had thought it would!

So, yep, I decided to just sleep in this morning after all of that.

This week I am busy getting ready for the Handmade Market in Murray Bridge on Saturday.  It will be great to do a local market.  I am really looking forward to meeting lots of new people and showing them my work.

On my walk this morning…

A cloudy start to the week here.  A cooler day today.  I have been:

  • studying for my first exam in about 20 years!
  • making lots of beads for the upcoming Christmas events I am involved with (Little Treasures at Pepper Street Gallery and the T’Arts Christmas window).
  • saying farewell to the first house I bought.
  • starting to pack for our move in November.
  • growing sunflowers with the kids.
  • getting ready for the Handmade Market in Murray Bridge on November 7 (more details this week).

Hope you are having a great week.

On my walk this morning…

We had such a lovely time at the Port Festival this weekend!  So nice to reconnect with some customers we haven’t seen for a while.  Plus a chance to spend some time in Port Adelaide (where we lived for 7 years).

I can feel people are starting to think about Christmas.  You can’t help but think about it with all of the decorations in the shops!   It still feels way too soon for me, but I am happy to help you with any special Christmas orders you might have.

My next market will be on November 7 at Murray Bridge.  More details soon.

Flower Pendants

I have managed to find a little stash of flower beads that I am making into pendants for the Port Festival.  There’s a nice selection of colours to choose from.

And because I don’t have many left, I’m selling them for $10, including either a silver chain or a neoprene (rubber) necklace.  If you don’t want the chain/necklace, then the pendants on their own will be $5!

(Is it too soon to mention Christmas presents)??

Hope to see you at the Port Festival this weekend.  I will be there both days from 10am until 6pm.

On my walk this morning…

I’m getting really excited about the Port Festival this weekend.  There is always so much to see and do over the weekend, and the artist market is only one of them.  Fingers crossed for awesome weather!

My newsletter will be sent out on Thursday.  Are you subscribed?  If you are, you are in with a chance to win a pair of earrings of your choice from my web shop or my Etsy shop.  I’m looking forward to sharing my colour of the month with you all.

Hope you have a great week.  We are still on school holidays here.  The kids have all sorts of things planned for us!

On my walk this morning….

Such lovely weather here at the moment, we have been making the most of it!

I sent my newsletter out last week with details of new jewellery in my shop!  It’s a range of black and white jewellery, and you can find it by clicking here.

If you haven’t subscribed to my newsletter yet, you can do that here.  You could win a pair of earrings!  I’ll let you know what this month’s winner chose later in the week.

I’m getting excited about the Port Festival Markets on Saturday and Sunday October 10 and 11.  I lived in Queenstown for many years, so Port Adelaide holds a special place in my life.  Looking forward to being part of all of the exciting activities there.

Enjoy your week.
