On my walk this morning…

It has been 2 weeks since I had a walk!  I am so grateful that I feel well enough to go out again.

Last day of winter, hooray!  Another winter over.

Thanks to everyone who visited me at Flinders Street Market on Saturday.  It was such a lovely day at the market, I really enjoyed it.  My next market is the Port Festival weekend on October 10 and 11.

Today I am photographing the work I am sending to Kirra Galleries for their annual Flame On exhibition.  I will share photos during the week.

I am also getting some work ready for my newsletter.  If you are subscribed, you’ll be the first to hear about the new work, and you’ll have the first chance to buy it.  I’m making some one-off pieces for my colour of the month series, which is Black and White for September.

On my walk this morning…

It’s getting lighter in the mornings.  And brighter!  Hooray!

I am looking forward to being part of the Ink Crush market at Flinders Street Market on Sunday August 16.  I am working on a new range of beads and jewellery especially for the market.  I’ll share some pictures on Thursday!

SALA has been great fun.  From what people are telling me, they are enjoying their visit to the City Library to see my exhibition.  It really is a great space, and at the moment there is a lot of really interesting art in there.  Definitely worth checking out.

Thanks to everyone who supported my Etsy shop sale.  I really appreciate it.  The next sale in my Etsy shop will be February 2016.

Flinders Street Market – Craftapalooza weekend

Oh, there is going to be so much to see and do at this weekend’s Flinders Street Market.  There are loads of different workshops on each day.  Loads of great stalls (including mine)!  I’ve heard there will be lots of great special offers.  Yummy food and drinks.  It’s all indoors too, so you don’t have to worry about the weather forecast!

My special offer for the weekend (or while stocks last) is a free bracelet making kit with purchases over $15.  If you want to hang out for a while, I’ll even help you make it!

Check out the workshops on offer via this link: Flinders Street Market Workshops.

Free with any purchase over $15 at Flinders Street Market this weekend!

It’s cold.  It’s wet.  It’s school holidays!

I am trying to get as much work done as possible.  I have deadlines looming!

I am trying new things.  They are not always working!

I am looking forward to being part of the Flinders Street Market this weekend.  It is a special “Craftapalooza” weekend and there will be lots of cool stall holders, and some of them will be running workshops.  Worth checking out if you are in Adelaide.

Morning Walk

Thinking about the following dates:

  • July 11 – I get to play shop in T’Arts today!  Come and visit me if you are in Adelaide.  I’m there from 10-5.
  • July 18 and 19 – I will be at the Flinders Street Market “Craftapalooza” special weekend.  From 10-3 each day, there will be lots of awesome things to do and see.  I will be giving away my bracelet making kits (with any purchase over $15), but this is limited to only 12 kits.
  • July 31 – SALA at the City Library opens officially at 6.00pm.  Have you seen the SALA guide yet?  So many great exhibitions at the City Library, definitely worth checking out.
  • August 2 – SALA at Pepper Street opens.  I won’t be at the opening, but I will have some very exciting new jewellery there!  All made from recycled glass, I have been experimenting with all sorts of new ideas and liking most of what I have done!

Morning Walk

The mornings are getting colder and darker, so I need to think about what I am looking forward to over winter:

  • My next newsletter will be sent on Thursday July 2.  I’m trying to decide the colour of the month for July.  This month is brown.  Any suggestions?
  • My next shift at T’Arts is on July 11.  I love spending the day in the shop, and really look forward to connecting with the customers who visit.
  • The Craftapalooza Market!  A special Flinders Street Market event on 18-19 July.  I will be there both days.
  • SALA Festival starts August 1.  I will have some recycled glass bead jewellery in the City Library.  And a small selection of work will be included as part of Pepper Street Art Gallery “Renew” exhibition.
  • A trip to Melbourne in August!  I am going to spend the weekend with my mum.  Can’t wait.

OK, maybe winter won’t be so bad after all.

On my walk this morning…

My Morning Walk June 1st - 1st day of winterI’ll be honest.  I hate winter.

Today I am looking forward to:

  • My newsletter coming out on Thursday!  Subscribe now for your chance to win a pair of earrings.  I will have some new jewellery ready too.
  • Red Poles Market Bazaar on Saturday.  It’s part of the Sea and Vines festival held on the long weekend in the McLaren Vale wine region.
  • Finishing the book “A Table in the Orchard – My Delicious Life” by Michelle Crawford.  It’s a great book about a family who moved to Tasmania, and started a new life there.
  • Spring!  I know there are people who absolutely love winter time, but I’m not one of them.  I tend to hibernate during winter, come up with new designs ready for my SALA exhibitions, preparing for a crazy spring/summer season.

Hope you have a great week!
