I have been making beads from Coopers Ale bottles for a long time, and I still love etching the glass to create a matt finish. Both of these earrings are classics, earrings that you will probably wear forever!

Hello, and welcome to my blog for 2018! I’m a big fan of New Years. I also love new months, new weeks, and new days! This year I have decided to challenge myself a little bit. I’m going to share a photograph of recycled glass jewellery every day. I love making beads from recycled glass, and I love that people resonate with it so much.
To kick the year off I have made a necklace from some of the recycled glass beads that I made from a Coopers Ale bottle. I love the sparkly gold and silver beads in between.
To be honest, I really love that a product destined for a bin can be transformed into a beautiful, wearable piece of art! Thanks for joining me on this journey for 2018.
It was lovely to look back on the most liked photos on Instagram and discover that they were all about recycled glass!
I love making beads from recycled glass, and I am so grateful for the opportunities to exhibit my work in so many amazing galleries around Australia.
It was a great experience taking this work to markets, and talking to people about the process and the product. My favourite compliment was “this is the ultimate in recycling.”
2017 saw a big push for me with my recycled glass jewellery, and I’m looking forward to exploring it further in 2018.
I just wanted to say a big sparkly THANKS to everyone who visited me at the Etsy market in Norwood yesterday. It was a beautiful evening for a market, and was made really special by the huge crowds and the amazing sellers too! I loved being part of it all. It was so much fun talking to everyone about what I do. One person even commented on the recycled glass jewellery, saying “This is the ultimate in recycling!”
My last market for the year is next weekend. Friday 15 and 16 December at Harts Mill, Port Adelaide. I’ll pop by with more details later in the week, but here is the Facebook link in case you are interested.
I have had a lovely day driving to the Barossa Valley! I delivered some new brightly coloured recycled glass jewellery to Bethany Wines. I love using their wine bottles, and I am thrilled that their customers are enjoying the jewellery on display there.
I have been getting lots of lovely feedback about the cufflinks that I have made. It seems that men are really pleased to see their favourite beer, Coopers Ale, used as the glass! I have made them with Coopers Ale, Peroni Beer, Kronenbourg Beer and Banrock Station Wine (and I’m happy to take custom orders before Christmas too)!
Available in an etched or shiny finish. Find them in my Etsy shop!
I’m making extra Champagne bottle jewellery for this market! The colour of this recycled glass is stunning, elegant and very classic.
What: Giant Twilight Christmas Market
When: Saturday 2nd December
Time: 11am until 9pm
Where: 230 Flinders Street, Adelaide
Hope to see you there!
I don’t often mix the recycled glass beads in a necklace, but I really like it when I get around to making necklaces like these. One of a kind, made from champagne, beer bottle and Green Depression Glass.
These classic glass and silver earrings are so easy and comfortable to wear. I have been taking requests for different colours, and I have to say the black glass earrings have turned out quite stunning! The green pair were made from a Bethany Wine bottle.
I’m pleased to finally be able to offer recycled glass cufflinks for those people who have asked me to make them! I know they’ll make a really special gift for anyone who wears cufflinks.
I have made the cufflinks from:
You can choose from either an acid-etched/matt finish, or leave them shiny like the bottles.
You can find them for sale in my Etsy shop.
