I had a lot of fun making this necklace this morning. All sorts of recycled glass beads in this one. I love the golden brown colours. Beads from beer, gin and wine bottles. The golden heart is from a Harlequin glass!

Recycled glass bead necklace on silk cord
I’m only doing 3 markets before Christmas this year! The first one is on Sunday November 4. It’s the Goodwood Arthouse Market, and it’s at the Goodwood Primary School. It starts at 10am and goes until 4pm, so plenty of time to soak up the lovely atmosphere and stalls that they will be hosting. It’s one of my favourite markets, and I’m so glad I get a chance to do it again.
I am making more necklaces for this market, and today I have made a blue/green recycled glass bead necklace on silk cord. I like the silk cord necklaces. They are easy to wear, and they are also adjustable, so you can wear them longer or shorter.
Pink and brown recycled glass beads
I have to say I was happily looking through my beads today, and was happy to find these beautiful colours that all worked so well together. There are beads made from Ruby glass, gin, beer and wine bottles. A real mix.
Luscious brown and green recycled glass beads
Today I picked through all of my green and brown recycled glass beads and made this delicious necklace! The beads were made from a variety of beer, wine and champagne bottles.
Recycled glass flower necklace
I love how all the different recycled glass flower beads work so beautifully together in this necklace. There are beads from a Skyy Vodka, Bethany Wine, Banrock Station wine, Tanqueray Gin and Bombay Sapphire Gin!
Dotty bumpy beads
I love how this one came together. The beads were all leftover from some earrings that I made for my T’Arts window display. They are all made from various recycled glass objects. Lots of fun with this one.
Casual lariat-style necklace
I was thinking that in this warmer weather it might be nice to have some options for necklaces that are a bit more relaxed and casual. I put this necklace together this morning, and have been wearing it ever since, just to make sure it wears well. (OK, I confess, I love the way it wears)!
The beads in this necklace were made from beer and champagne bottles. I love the green and amber glass together, and the touches of gold add a lovely sparkle to it all.
I love what I do…
I love what I do, and I love it when other people love what I do too! I have been making glass beads from recycled glass objects for a long time, and it’s lovely when my work resonates for people.
I am always happy to make custom orders, please feel free to get in touch if you have a special request.
Love hearts
Oh gosh, how I love the love heart beads in this necklace! I love how one sits one way, and the other one sits the other way. I love how they are made from wine and gin bottles. I love how one is sparkly and the other is shiny. I love how the beads around them mix and match and pick up the colours in the love heart beads!
Which glass?
In case you were wondering, when you buy a piece of my recycled glass jewellery it comes with a tag to indicate which glass I used to make the beads.
