Fresh out the kiln! The beads are so pretty. The glass melted beautifully. The colour is even paler than Green Depression glass. Very happy.
And just like that! SALA is over for another year. The cabinet is empty and all of the orders have been posted. The remaining work is now available at T’Arts in Gays Arcade. Very grateful to the Adelaide Arcade for hosting me and Adelaide City Council for helping with exhibition costs. And a big thank you to @salafestival for the opportunity to show my work again this year. Keep up the great work.
Done! Desk tidied, mandrels coated. Ready for my next glass bead making projects! I have a few things coming up in the next few months including:
1. Murray Bridge Show in September. I love entering necklaces in the beading section of the pavilion competition
2. Group exhibition at Red Poles starting November with the theme of “Summertime an’ the Livin’ is Easy…”
3. A small release of jewellery online in November. I am enjoying designing a small collection of work that will be sold online. I love that I have customers all over the world
4. Keeping T’Arts updated with new jewellery each time I work there
5. Christmas 🎄
My SALA exhibition is on display in the Adelaide Arcade until the end of August. You can only buy these pieces online for now. Link in bio. I am heading in on Saturday for my shift at T’Arts and getting a few of the sold pieces ready to post. Looking forward to my day in the shop. I am getting some new work ready for there too.
BROWN. The final colour in my @salafestival exhibition is brown. If you are all about neutral colours and love creams and beige, then this is the one for you. I love how brown works with so many colours too…purple, green, pink, blues and reds. See it on display in the @adelaidearcade until the end of August or shop online.
BLACK AND WHITE. Classic. Timeless. Elegant. Stylish. I loved making these beads for my @salafestival exhibition currently on display in the @adelaidearcade for the month of August.
