I love that I can use beer bottles as the base of some of the beads that I make. This particular bracelet features Coopers Ale and Coopers Clear.
(Luckily my husband likes drinking beer).

It started out simple enough. Make a bracelet using four different types of blue beads. But as I started to make the bracelet, it made me think about other ways to make the bracelet, and that led to other ways to make the bracelet. So in the end I made all four versions of the bracelet that I had imagined as I was making the bracelets! Which one do you like best?
Remember this necklace?
Well, I had all of the seed beads still on my table, and I thought it would be nice to make a bracelet to match it. The two strands sit nicely on the wrist, making it comfortable to wear.
I think purple and brown is a delicious colour combination. I have used purple frit to decorate some beads made from a wine bottle, and added some Coopers Ale beads in for good company.
I have always had a bit of a soft spot for this colour! Skyy Vodka bottles make the most stunning cobalt blue beads. The addition of the silvery finishes makes this bracelet very sparkly indeed.
Oh, I do love the sparkle in this bracelet. The beads were made from a wine bottle, and embellished to make them extra sparkly!
I think this might possibly be the cutest bracelet I have ever made! The other day I was making beads using a wine bottle, adding red frit to them, and after I made some round ones, I made some small flat ones. As soon as I saw the beads I thought to myself “keep going” and I ended up making quite a few of these small flat beads.
I couldn’t wait to open the kiln the next day and see how they turned out. I quickly cleaned them, and made this bracelet, and I’m so happy with the way this turned out. I can see myself making more of this style going forward.
Following on from yesterday’s post, this bracelet was made with Hendricks Gin Bottle beads. I love how the dark brown beads look black when you wear them, and are such a pretty contrast to the silvery beads in the bracelet. Really loving the Hendricks gin bottle, and wondering why I didn’t smash it sooner to make beads!
I love the way these handmade recycled glass beads in assorted blues blend together. From the lighter wine bottle colour, through Skyy Vodka, and back to Bombay Sapphire Gin. All so lovely.
All the pretty greens in this bracelet. Ranging from Peroni Beer bottles to French champagne bottles, and some Green Depression glass thrown in for contrast!
I have been wearing this bracelet for a while today, and I have to say it’s actually behaving quite nicely, with the disk beads staying on the top of my wrist. Yay!
