I was thinking that in this warmer weather it might be nice to have some options for necklaces that are a bit more relaxed and casual. I put this necklace together this morning, and have been wearing it ever since, just to make sure it wears well. (OK, I confess, I love the way it wears)!
The beads in this necklace were made from beer and champagne bottles. I love the green and amber glass together, and the touches of gold add a lovely sparkle to it all.
Over the many years that I have been making jewellery, I have collected lots of different types of seed beads. I used to use seed beads a lot, but I haven’t used them for a long time. The other day I was thinking about making a lariat, and trying to work out how to achieve the length needed, without it being too heavy. That’s when I remembered the seed beads!
I have used a mixture of assorted recycled glass beads in this necklace, along with a mixture of seed beads.
